The tantalizing Tammy Taylor (AKA Tamara Taylor) was born in Southern California and has been kind enough to let us taste her oranges. But before she stripped on screen, Tammy was young and restless in The Young and the Restless. Her second ever role was the Holy Grail, as she got nude with scream queen Linnea Quigley in the 1979 movie Don’t Go Near the Park. It’s a classic story of nubile runaways stalked by a supernatural evil. Of course, they do go near the park, but they don’t go near a shirt! Mr. Skin regrets to report to you that Tammy put her shirt on for her next role and kept it on for the rest of her career. The exploitation film Malibu High (1979) preceded the shows California Fever, CHiPs, and Happy Days and the short Best Horse (1979). She began the ’80s with one-episode stints on ABC Afterschool Specials, Stone, and Eight Is Enough before landing the recurring role of Hope Williams on Days of Our Lives. Following her stretch on that soap opera, Tammy appeared in the films Second Thoughts (1983), Meatballs Part II (1984), and Lovelines (1984) and the TV series Gimme a Break!, Whiz Kids, Rituals, New Love, American Style, and Mr. Belvedere. She then spent more than two decades off the screen to raise her two children. The comeback happened in 2012’s Little Bride Lie and lasted until 2016’s Daughters. We’re patiently waiting for Tammy’s return to skinema so we can get our comeback too.
